Salesforce Developer

We're seeking a fast-learning, self-starting, Salesforce Developer to join our team. We continue to grow rapidly through aquisition and we see a successful Salesforce platform as key to transforming and coalescing our business. You key responsibilities would be:

• To redevelop our legacy in-house CRM system, critical for managing our event rental business,
• To design an implement a Salesforce experience that is efficient for our Sales and Operations teams,
• To help to integrate Salesforce with our Accounts and Manufacturing systems.

As our only developer with Salesforce experience, you will need to:

• have 3 years+ experience in a similar role. You'll be responsible for the implementation, so you should be abreast of new technologies / best practices.
• be able to work independently and as part of our development team, prepared to learn and deeply understand how our business functions.
• have excellent communication skills; don't worry, there's no requirement to give a TED talk - but you should be happy to effectively discuss technical concepts with the team both written and verbally.
• have an detailed understanding of all things Salesforce - the object model, Lightning, CPQ, Apex & VisualForce.
• have good code quality discipline, and robust source control practices.

Ideally you'll have some other strings to your bow, and will be a valuable contributor to other development projects.

We're light on process and naturally agile; however, we absolutely understand and value the importance of having a rock-solid well-written code-base; so you’ll need come pre-installed with lots of good ideas!

Our products are truly global and provide tracking & communications capabilities to: governments, oceanic yacht races, journalists in war zones, elephants, drones, cubesats, icebergs and oil-wells (and everything in between).

Behind our excellent hardware sits our management platforms, which handles all of our data processing, visualisation, billing and reporting functions. We also support our sister-company (YB Tracking) to deliver an award-winning online race viewer for tracking events (yachting, car rallies, extreme adventures) across multiple platforms to millions of users each year.
