What You'll Do

The Salesforce Developer will act as a Salesforce expert and collaborate with business partners to solve complex business issues and manage the sales process using the Salesforce platform. This position will be responsible for the enhancement, maintenance, and support of our Salesforce ecosystem. It will involve platform strategy, technical architecture, product development, data management, configuration, and troubleshooting the Salesforce instance as well as systems with which it integrates. This position will actively participate in the applications rationalization program which migrates the legacy applications into the Salesforce Platform.

The Salesforce Developer will work closely with professional services and development to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment. This role will demonstrate comprehensive skills and knowledge for the following areas of expertise:

  • Design and develop Salesforce-based applications, customization, and enhancements
  • Understand and leverage the Salesforce provided APIs to support enterprise integrations
  • Review and understand business requirements and create functional prototypes
  • Follow established Salesforce development standards and best practices
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues
  • Maintain existing applications with an eye to continuous automation and improvement
  • Stay current on Force.com technology changes and Salesforce releases
  • Work in an agile manner; be flexible to changing priorities
  • Salesforce Development including Apex Classes, Controllers and Triggers, REST and SOAP API and Lightning Components
  • Integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems
  • Salesforce configuration, workflows, object customization, and security models
  • Salesforce sandbox management and deployment best practices
  • Taking highly conceptual business needs and translate into a solution that can be effectively implemented

What’s Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certified Salesforce/Force.com Developer is a plus

Experience

  • Experience developing with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks
  • 3+ years of Salesforce integration experience

  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, thoughts, and opinions during requirements and design sessions with the development team
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills while understanding the scope and impact of your work
  • Willing to take initiative, learn quickly and be able to adapt to shifting priorities is essential
