Role Context:
This role is being created to help the NCS Trust build and implement a redesigned Salesforce custom application (Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud), and to support configuration in our Salesforce instance on an ongoing basis.
The Salesforce deployment is at the heart of our future infrastructure, and the role will be vital in helping us to get the most out of the implementation. The successful applicant will have a combination of technical and soft skills required to ensure the needs of our users are met by our system.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert on the Salesforce platform, with emphasis on Sales and Service Cloud implementation.
Work with management, business analysts, strategic planning and end-users to create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and triggers.
Create and document application requirements by working together with business analysts and those involved in the development of new functionality.
Contribute to our development and configuration function by becoming a technology ambassador for this product, demonstrating its use cases, and ensuring NCS gets the best return on its investment by using the platform to its fullest extent.
Work alongside the development team to their standards making sure that the use of development tools is standardised and meets best practice. This includes using Jira, GIT and other relevant tools we approve of. To ensure the quality of our development you’ll be creating sandboxes and making sure best practice is followed.
Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users as database applications are developed.
Manage compliance with applicable standards to make sure that our solution is compliant from a technical perspective. Comply with standards set by Information Management & Security to make sure we are using the product in the safest way, and at the appropriate risk level.
Be aware of changes made as a result of quarterly Salesforce releases, and make recommendations based on their projected impact on our implementation.
Ensure that our product knowledge is up to date by through all relevant channels, including attendance of external events
Have strong communication skills to be able to interpret the requests from the business into technical solutions and then deliver those solutions.
