The Salesforce Developer leads and supports colleagues of the same role, Solutions Analysts and Architects to deliver systems and solutions that meet the customers’ needs effectively.

The Salesforce Developer designs, codes, configures and / or customises software solutions to meet business requirements. They test new software code at the unit level and mentor less experienced Software Engineers.

The objective of the Salesforce Developer is to champion implementation quality, promote reuse, drive adoption of best practice, drive cost effectiveness and mitigate increased cost caused by sub-optimal implementation. This is a key role, managing the delivery of complex system solutions to address business problems. The Salesforce Developer will also lead exploratory and prototyping activity as required.

Requirements: -

  1. Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements and company goals
  2. Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements
  3. Communicate with project managers, clients and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
  4. Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives, and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
  5. Interact directly with clients, managers and end users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications and interactions with internal Salesforce instances
  6. Provide system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow
  7. Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, product development and operations, to ensure Salesforce environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance
  8. Expedite the team backlog and delivery tasks
  9. Write test classes for the class that you develop and ensure more than 80% code coverage
  10. Ensure design and implementation supports the goal of promoting reuse
  11. Ensure design and implementation supports the goal of reducing time to market and minimizes cost to deliver
  12. Coaching, mentoring and supporting all team members
