About Us:

The IT Team is a core element of the NextGear Capital business within the UK, leading on the development of new functionality and solutions to enable delivery of both business and client objectives and strategy.

The team is engaged across multiple strategic work streams providing either development of integration solutions between NextGear Capital and third parties or supporting and enhancing Salesforce CRM.

Role:

You will develop, maintain and support Salesforce systems used within NextGear Capital.

Working as part of a small team of developers, the role involves working with Salesforce Apex, Lightning, C#, SQL, and web technologies such as HTML, CSS and Javascript.

The role will primarily be to support and enhance Salesforce CRM within an agile environment alongside internal and external resource. There will be dependency to provide some support for integrations with external sources.

  • Develop and deliver a wide range of high profile, accessible and standards compliant projects, within required timescales.
  • Work with colleagues and technical resources to define technical solutions to meet business requirements using agreed tools and technologies.
  • Develop solutions in-line with in-house standards and practices.
  • Carry out unit, systems and integration testing during the code development.
  • Perform system releases, following CAB process and attending sessions as required.
  • Produce Technical Documentation for software modules being delivered.
  • Perform technical development role on project and small changes.

Skills:

  • Experience of working in an Agile environment is useful.
  • Ability to understand, improve and debug legacy code is required
  • Able to produce clear technical documentation to support the delivery of a software project
  • Experience with software development environment, using C# or Java
  • CSS, Restful / Web API Services
  • Experience of relational databases, with working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 upwards. Understanding of object-orientated software development methodologies and practices.
