Brief Summary of Role

Appirio's CPQ Solution Architect is to play a critical role in our CPQ practice. This role is focused on leading and driving strategic Salesforce related conversations with prospects, clients and internal team members. This includes being able to discuss trends, CPQ technology and related people/process topics. In addition, this resource will conduct project implementation and relationship management tasks associated with technology implementation. This person's primary responsibility will be within our largest SFDC account in Europe, working on a large scale, enterprise Salesforce CPQ implementation. You will be required to work and lead the customer and working within account team, build up a CPQ practice within Europe to deliver this and other large CPQ programmes.

Primary Responsibilities

The CPQ Solution Architect can efficiently synthesize both technical and business information and present a strategic vision for clients. This role will regularly present complex information to a C-level audience in both a sales and project environment. The CPQ Solution Architect will have had hands on experience working with and implementing Salesforce CPQ and Quote to Cash solutions. Other CPQ solutions experiences are also considered as long as a quick learning curve on Salesforce is guaranteed. Leading business requirements gathering sessions and owning end to end requirements documents. Lead Salesforce functional design and owning the end to end design process.

  • Managing the delivery of integrations and custom extensions.
  • Managing technical scope and client expectation.
  • Responsible for providing hands on expert level assistance to developers for technical issues.
  • Designing and managing the execution of test plans and ensuring a quality solution is delivered.
  • Expert in Force.com development, Salesforce.com integration and extension, features, designing solutions, using Force.com API, APEX, Visualforce and other tools that extend the product
  • Must be able to lead a technical requirements gathering session, write requirements and technical architecture documents and manage the integration
  • Participate in pre-sales activities as required Must possess strong analytical and product knowledge skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and the translation of those needs into technology and operational requirements. Enthusiastic, professional and confident team player with a strong focus on customer success who can present effectively even under adverse conditions. Strong project management, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement. Education and Required Experience
  • Salesforce certification mandatory
  • B.S. degree in a technical field preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Informatics, Industrial Management, etc) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization or equivalent professional work experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience as a solution focused consultant, business analyst or systems consultant for a mid-to-large sized organization, or direct consulting expertise leading CPQ transformation projects.
  • 3+ years experience with Salesforce CPQ software in enterprise environments.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Project Management experience is a plus
  • Located and able to work in the Netherlands
